We designed every tool to run locally in your browser memory so professionals in regulated industries can work without moving files to external servers. When we do process personal data, we handle it transparently and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Swedish law.

This policy applies to convertcompresstool.com, supporting subdomains, and communication channels we control, including our contact forms and direct email addresses. Any integrations operated by partners may have their own privacy notices; we will signpost those wherever they apply.

3. Local file processing

The core functionality of ConvertCompressTool happens entirely on your device:

• You load a document, image, or data snippet directly into your browser.
• Processing libraries bundled with the tool perform the conversion locally.
• The resulting file is made available for download and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Data is cleared from memory when you refresh, close the tab, or navigate away.

If you export logs or share feedback that includes sample files, those materials are treated as information you intentionally provided under section 2.1.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a lightweight cookie (or equivalent local storage entry) to store your consent preferences so we do not ask for your decision every visit. This cookie does not track your browsing activity across other sites. If you opt into advertising cookies, Google AdSense may set additional cookies to serve and measure ads in line with your preferences.

5. Advertising and monetisation

We use Google AdSense to fund ongoing development of the tools. AdSense operates as an independent controller and may process personal data such as device characteristics or approximate location to deliver relevant advertising. 6. Legal basis for processing
